sibu beauty | review

I have very sensitive, fair skin. My face is especially sensitive. I have tried/used several facial washes and soaps - and it seems like while some would be okay for a while, I would start having issues with it after a few weeks. Either breakouts or my face just feeling itchy. When I was asked to review Sibu Beauty's Sea Buckthorn Facial Cleanser, I was skeptical - but willing!

What first caught my attention was the mention of sea buckthorn. I had never heard of this. And, apparently I missed Dr. Oz talking about its wonders too. I learned that it is a tiny fruit that grows in the Tibetan Himalayas. "With over 190 bioactive compounds, sea buckthorn is an unsurpassed source of Omegas 3, 6, and 9. And it's a rich source of the elusive essential fatty acid, Omega-7, an essential fatty acid vital to collagen production and healthy skin, hair and nails." (more info on this little fruit here.)

I used this facial cleanser for 2 weeks and was happy to experience no adverse reactions: no redness, breakouts, or itchiness. (yay!) My favorite characteristics of this cleanser are the exfoliating micro-particles. Now, I have used several other cleansers that also have exfoliating particles or "beads," but they are usually too rough and actually exasperate or cause irritation. Not so with this cleanser! The micro-particles are actually that, micro. (but, still do the job!) I used this once in the morning and once at night -- helping to reduce any oiliness and removing makeup with ease. Overall, I am so thrilled! I have been using it for a few months now with no complaints yet!
