like the 'extra entries' options for giveaways?
I've been thinking about consolidating the extra entries - maybe only offering 1 (maybe 2).
or - do you like to have the extra entries?
Would you pretty please answer the poll up there at the top of the sidebar?
thanks... love ya all!

I'm kind of leaning toward one entry. Or, one main entry, and the spread the word for another entry? I just don't have time for a bunch of seperate entries!
ReplyDeleteI like extra entries but I would not mind a single entry. Good luck deciding :)
ReplyDeleteI dont mind lots of extra entries. I get that some people dont have the time to do all of them but it's not like they're forced to do it. I always do 1-2 mandatory entries & then give them extra entry options.
ReplyDeleteI usually only do 3 entries tops, but I like to have options - like if I don't feel like following, I can just follow on twitter for instance. I think that there should be a maximum of 5?!
ReplyDeleteI follow too many blogs with giveaways to take time going through the list of ways to get the extra entries, and I know that offering an extra entry for those who post about the giveaway on their own blogs or on Twitter or Facebook is a good way to get more people to stop by the site, so I don't mind that, but when people offer +1 for every method, +1 for following, +1 for subscribing to the e-mail updates, +1 for subscribing to the RSS feed--that's ridiculous (not to mention redundant, since following a blog automatically puts a blog in my RSS reader).
ReplyDeleteI like the one or two options max, more than that sometimes makes you not want to sign up.
ReplyDeleteBut that´s just me.
Cheers!
I get frustrated if there are a dozen extra entries for a tiny little prize, but for bigger prizes, 5 or so extra entries are great.
ReplyDeletei like just a couple of entries. i never add more than 3 anyway.
ReplyDeleteAs someone who doesn't have a blog, twitter, or facebook, I usually only get a couple entries anyhow!
ReplyDeleteA single entry (or just a couple) would be refreshing!
ReplyDeleteAll the extra entries that many blogs offer is so time consuming!
a one or two is enough extra entry.
ReplyDeleteMy preference is just two entries too...
ReplyDeleteMy preference is no more than 2 entries.

ReplyDeleteI prefer 2 entries. :o)
ReplyDeleteI would much rather have one entry and spend the rest of my time reading your blog and other blogs.
ReplyDeleteAlso many people still don't have a blog, twitter accounts, facebook accounts, etc...

I love one entry giveaways! Equal chances for all (:

I would prefer one to two entries max. One for main entry and the other just spread the word.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck
Just one please! I wish others would follow suit! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI only do one entry unless the sponsor requests more. I HATE the hassle of multiple things.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of one entry with maybe just one extra, if it's something anyone can do. Equals the chances for those without twitter, etc... :)
ReplyDeleteI think one entry is enough, but thats just me.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your input so far! ...I'm leaning toward 1 entry... but, also had the thought about maybe having it also be a "daily entry":
ReplyDeleteYou could come back each day & enter each giveaway by commenting on another product you like in the shop (as long as your answer each day is different) - that way, the shop sponsoring the giveaway gets maximum exposure.
I agree with Jennifer about having time to read the blog if there are too many entries. I don't mind a few though if it is also helping the artist or sponsor through a purchase or following them.
ReplyDeleteI like multiple entries. More chances to win and all ;)
ReplyDeleteBut what I really don't like is when the entries include:
"Make a purchase and get 10 extra entries."
I am a flat broke college student. I don't have a lot of extra money (read: none at all) to spend. I mean I'm pretty sure I'll love everything I enter for or I don't enter. & Don't get me wrong... if I had the extra money I would totally buy stuff!
I guess I'm not being real clear. I just don't think that is fair.
Anyone can have a twitter account, gmail reader account, fb account, etc & partake in those extra entries. I just feel like having someone purchase something for extra entries makes it unfair to those of us that can't afford it.
Wow. Sorry about the long message!! I got really carried away there.
Please don't be offended... just my opinion! :)
Also, I really like this idea you put out there:

Great exposure for the owner (which what I assume is trying to be accomplished with the purchasing thing).
